Question: How fast is the speed of light

    About 300 million metres per second. So fast that it takes 8 minutes for the light from the sun to reach earth.

    So a light year is 94608000000000000 metres? i worked it out on a calculator- 300000000 x 60 x 60 x 24 x 365 (metres per second x 60 seconds x 60 minutes x 24 hours x 365 days = 9460800000000000)
