Question: Why can I learn things quickly but rarely remember it?

Keywords: ,

  1. Learning is making connections between other similar experiences or concepts and making sense of them. When you learn something new you have very few connections to it. With time you have many connections, many ways to access that piece of knowledge held within your brain.
When songs from the 80’s come on the radio I magically find I know all the words! I have lots of connections to those songs which I listened to while making sense of the world. But sometimes I cannot remember what I did yesterday unless I have other connections into those thoughts.
    Hope this makes sense?
