The other scientist are right an invention can come to you quickly but it might take years to get it on the market. Some inventions happen by accident. Scientist will be working on something else and accidentally make a discovery or they make a mistake and discover something. Like fleming leaving a petri dish open and realising the importance of penicillin as an Antibiotic.

I’ve never invented anything, so I wouldn’t know. I do come up with lots of ideas for inventions that are good in theory, but maybe not in reality!
