“I have not failed, I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
AND
“Five percent of the people think;
ten percent of the people think they think;
and the other eighty-five percent would rather die than think.”
If the latter is true why does govt try to get 30% to go to Uni?
My role models are:
Paul Watson (Founder of the Sea Shepard – Have you seen Whale wars?) because he is a rebel with a good cause! He isn’t afraid to stand up for what he believes is right no matter who he is up against!
Steve Irwin (I think you will know who he is) because of the work he has done educating people about conservation and also he owns a lot of land up in Queensland which he bought simply so companies cannot develop on it! haha. Which I think is pretty cool. He can’t be bought I suppose is what I’m saying.
Brigette Bardot; She was a beautiful hollywood film star in the 1960’s and she decided to give up all the fame and fortune to become an animal rights activist and start her own animal protection organisation. I look up to her because I think not many people would value morals over money and fame. Most people would never give up fame and fortune once they had it, but she did because she realised some thing are more important.
I was once told by my older brother, who is a very successful business man, that ‘when your younger you have all these morals and principals but then as you get older money becomes more and more important and you sometimes forget that spending time with family for example is more important than going into work and making money’ and I hope I never become like that. I hope I will always put my morals before money. I guess that’s why those three people are my role models.
One of my major role models is David Attenborough. He brought the natural environment into everyone’s loungroom through his wonderful documentaries. I have learnt so much from these films and I think they have changed the way our society views the environment.
I would love to make similar documentaries that will hopefully have the same impact.

My first role models are my Mom and Dad. I’ve learnt more about life and how to be a good person from them.
I don’t really have a role model, but I have mentors these are other senior scientists who I work with and who I can learn from.
