Question: If there were such thing as time travel, I don't get how it works because if you go back in time to change something, that means it didn't happen so you didn't go back in time to change it. So it's like a loop and I don't get it.

Neither do I .
Science fiction.
But if you do work it out, let me know.

I try not to think about time travel and the universe too much because it just too complex for my brain to handle!! I guess its a good job that time travel isn’t possible because if it were we would forever be confused!! So don’t worry, I don’t get it either!! 🙂

LOL… I actually have a friend who did a 6 months project on the concept of Time travel. She took every movie and book that talked about the possibility of time travel and determined which one was the most likely to be true. The one that was a perfect and complete loop was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. If you are allowed to watch this movie it might help to explain time travel.
On the scientific side Einstein predicted that the faster you travel the slower time becomes, they apparently proved this when man first went to the moon. One clock on earth and one clock on the rocket, the rocket clock was behind when they returned. So in this theory if you travelled faster than the speed of light you would reverse time!!!!!!!

Time travel is really interesting and Shona brings up an important point: there are many different ways to imagine how time travel could work. It doesn’t have to work in a linear way where you can change a past event which then ‘alters’ the future. Many scientists believe in the concept of a multiverse where there are many different parallel universes all happening at the same time! Some scientists believe that past, present and future events actually all happen at the same time too. Weird I know, but that’s science for ya!
