Question: Have you ever swam with a shark near you in the wild away from shore? [/?/]

    Yes.
    After a week of night time field work at Heron Island we swapped our small torches for BIG torches. Then we saw the black tipped reef sharks that had been there all week.
    And at Hurghada, in the Red Sea, but that was for fun.

    When I dived on the great barrier reef we went on a night-time dive and we sat on the sea bed and all turned our torches off. It was completely black! Our dive instructor friend we were with had a half filled water bottle which he squeezed and it made a strange crumpling sound (which apparently attracts the sharks). Then we all turned our torches on at the same time and there where about ten reef sharks swimming around us. It was amazing! They aren’t huge sharks though so they are nothing to be afraid of. They were beautiful. I live in Adelaide so I’m hoping to go cage diving soon in Port Lincoln to see some great whites!

    I’ve seen small reef sharks on dives as well. They are really nice. I have dived at underwater world with the sharks, but that doesn’t could because they are all fat and feed so you know they wont come near you.

    I’ve only ever swam with small reef sharks too, but I’d love to see a Great White Shark (maybe not while I was in the water with it… just to make sure).

    Coooool i have swam with a Bull shark before, It was freaky!

        I was at my Uncles, Friends house because his house is beside a creek thing and i have also found a washed up hammer-head
